Michael Frederick Surette
Surette, Michael Frederick, 32 of Calgary, formerly of Halifax, passed away peacefully October 31 due to a tragic motor vehicle accident. Born May 22, 1986 to Anna Marie Surette (Marie Young) and the late Marcel Surette. Michael attended N.S.C.C. then on to Dalhousie University, where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Michael worked for Pure Technologies as Senior Field Engineer. He took pride in everything he did, from work, his appearance, and even his spotless house work. Michael was a true animal lover especially with his side kick Ducky. “My little girl”. He enjoyed travelling, mountain climbing, canoeing, fishing, basketball and he even finally got to fly a private plane. Michael loved spending time with his family, extended family, and friends. He set the future path for his two brothers, and sister of which he was so proud of. He also enjoyed making sure he made time to be with his friends in Calgary as well as Halifax. He was very proud of his mom and had a great love for his family. Michael is survived by his mother, Anna Marie Surette (Young); two brothers, Brandon Surette, Korey Surette; and his sister Katie Surette. He was pre-deceased by his dad, Marcel Frederick Surette, Nan and Grandad, Frederick “Eli” and Joan Surette, and Nanny, Margaret Young. Visitation will take place 6-9 pm Thursday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax.
