Michael Deafy
It is with great sadness that Michael unexpectedly passed away at the TBRHSC. Michael was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital on January 10, 1961. He was the youngest son of Bill (William) Deafy (deceased) and Rose (Black Jack) Deafy (deceased) of Kashabowie, Ontario. Michael attended St. Stanislaus and St. Joseph’s Schools in Fort William and Port Arthur. Michael also attended Gron Morgan High School in 1975. Survived by his older brother Raymond Deafy and wife Joan Ignace who live in Thunder Bay; older sister Elizabeth (Deafy) Starr and brother-in-law David Starr of Pic River First Nation, Heron Bay, ON; sister Amelia (Chapais) Deafy who lives in Sault Ste. Marie, ON and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. Predeceased by his brother Jerry Deafy in 1974. Michael will be sadly missed by his siblings, family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkens Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
