Obituary of Melvin Crowther
Melvin Charles Crowther, age 68, of Westville, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital.
Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Daniel and Josephine (Wilcox) Crowther.
Melvin moved to Ontario as a young man where he lived for 49 years before returning home to Westville. While in Ontario he worked as a truck driver for various trucking companies. Melvin was a resident of Glen Haven Manor for the past 8 months.
He is survived by sisters, Ruth Morrison (Claude), N.B.; Lynn Bordenuik, Ont.; Laura Small (Merrill), N.B.; Joyce Fraser (Jeff Murphy), Westville; brothers, Danny, Truro; Leonard (Bernadette), Pictou Landing; Gordon, Ont.; Ricky (Martina), Westville, and Ronnie (Sharon), New Glasgow and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers Wilson and Harvey ; brothers-in-law, Robert Fraser and Dave Maltby; sister-in-law Rhonda Crowther; niece Sarah Fraser and nephew Bradley Crowther.
There will be no visitations or funeral service. A private family grave side service will take place at St. Bees Cemetery, Westville. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of one’s choice
