Melvina (Godin) Carrier
December 18, 1922 – December 18, 2018
Passed away at her residence on December 18th, 2018 at the age of 96, Mrs. Melvina (Godin) Carrier of Campbellton, wife of the late Zoel Carrier.
Born in Lorne on December 18th, 1922, daughter of the late Estelle Carrier and of the late Frank Godin.
She is survived by her children; Geraldine Lagacé of Campbellton, Edward (Rose) Carrier of Campbellton, Irene (Hébert) Bujold of Val d’Amour, Mable Aspirot of Montreal, Maurice (Carelyn) Carrier of Campbellton, Lois (Roger) Carrier of Montreal and Delphine (Max) Keays of Atholville. She is also survived by her sister Anita (Arsène) Lapointe of Lorne and brother Adelard (Mable) Godin of Dalhousie, 19 Grandchildren; Denise, Annie, Gerald, Stephane (Lagace), Romain, Gaetan, Ricky (Carrier), Nathalie (Lagace), Caroline, Christan, Remi (Aspirot), Carole, Michael, Eric (Bujold), Jamie, Shawn (Carrier), Claude (Savoie), April (Keays), 36 Great-grandchildren and 5 Great Great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughters Dorine Carrier, Maurine Carrier and Christine Carrier, her grandson Daniel Lagacé and her son-in-laws Johnny Lagacé and Roger Aspirot.
Funeral mass will be held at Our-Lady-of-Snow’s Church, Campbellton, Saturday December 29 at 11:00 am.
Visitation at Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, Saturday from 9:30 until time of funeral.
Donations to the Restigouche SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
