1925-2018
It is with sadness we announce the
passing of May Edna (Porter) Travis, age
93, of Hastings, NS. May passed away peacefully at Gables
Lodge, Amherst, on Sunday, December 23, 2018.
Born in Port Greville, NS, May was
married to her late husband Charles Travis. She will be
dearly missed by her daughters, Margaret Travis and Lucy (Laurie)
Hicks, both of Amherst, NS; 4 grandsons Charles, Daniel, David and
Laurie; 6 great grandchildren, Kori, Eli, Xavier, Sage, Charlie and
Addisyn
In addition to her husband, she is
predeceased by her sons William, Frederick, and Henry.
Arrangements have been entrusted into
the care of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home,
70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) from where visitation will
take place on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 1 until 2 pm, followed
immediately at 2 pm by her funeral service, Rev. Byron Corkum
officiating. Burial will take place in the Warren Cemetery
in the spring.
