Maureen McLean
1949-2018
Surrounded by love and in the knowledge of God’s eternal light,
Maureen Denise McLean (nee Tomlinson) passed away on February 16,
2018, in Perth-Andover.
Born in Perth-Andover, NB, on March 26, 1949, she was the daughter of
Lloyd and Celia (Wall) Tomlinson. She graduated from Perth Regional
High School in 1967, and began working at the former Canada Packers.
Eventually, she would work at Hotel-Dieu Hospital and remained there
until her retirement.
She was the devoted and proud Mum to Moyra Kern (Stan) of Winnipeg,
MB, Dave McLean (Kim) of Perth-Andover, NB, and Wes McLean of
Winnipeg, MB. She is also survived by her sister Cheryl Denton (Allen)
of Digby, NS, brother Barry Wall (Joan) of Crook, Durham County,
England, and four grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life:
Ashlee, Aynslee, Colby and Janel.
Family titles did not matter, and she was just like a sister to
special cousins Sheila Cowie, Wayne Tomlinson and the late Milton
Tomlinson.
Whether at her job, in the broader community or during her final years
at Victoria Glen Manor, she was a beloved lady, of whom everyone spoke
highly. A sense of humour, abounding affection and compassion were her
hallmarks. Her passing leaves a void, but the memories of her impact
provide solace in the midst of grief.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home in Perth-Andover, visitation will
occur on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The
funeral will also be held at Brunswick Funeral Home, on Tuesday,
February 20, 2018 at 2 pm, with the Rev. David Ferrell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Colby McLean, David Robinson, Ron Morehouse, Ron
Dube, Tyson Spencer, and Clarence McQuade.
For those who wish, donations in her memory can be made to Victoria
Glen Manor.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB
