Obituary for Matt Scheven
Scheven, Matthias (Matt)
It is with great sadness that we share the news of Matthias (Matt) Scheven’s passing on Wednesday, September 5th in his home, after a remarkably brave battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Matt will be terribly missed by his wife of 44 years, Linda; his children, Todd (Donna), Tim, Jeff (Amy), Jennifer (Mark), Michelle (Greg); and his grandchildren, Danielle, Hunter, Ella, Maya, Quinn, Dean, and Blake. The strength and unbelievable courage that he showed throughout his entire illness was an inspiration to all of us. Dad received incredible care, first and foremost from his wife, Linda, who carried out his last wishes of spending his final weeks at home. Endless gratitude to the doctors and nurses who provided exceptional and compassionate care to dad throughout his entire journey, especially Drs. Husain, McKinnon, Candusso, and Sandhu.
Friends & Family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at his home, 14 Davis Drive, Alton, on Sunday, September 16, 2018 between 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
A tree will be planted in memory of Matthias in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
