Obituary of Mary Mooney
Mary Ellen Mooney of Kitchener, passed away at Innisfree House (Hospice) on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the age of 78.
Born in Milford, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Mary was a daughter of the late Ralph and Kathleen Charlton. She had three sisters, Hilda Daniels, Betty Black and Marilyn Tester.
Mary is survived by her husband Patrick Mooney, daughter Belinda Apt (Mike), two sons Doran Emino (Cheryl) and Currie Emino (Janise), six grandsons Justin Apt, David Apt, Jeffery Emino, Austin Emino, Jayden Emino, Timothy Emino, great-granddaughter Cashlyn, great-grandson Kane, sister Betty Black, many cousins, nephews, nieces. Three step-children also survive, Cheryl Phillips (Simon), son Simon and daughter Tabatha; Nadine Mooney (Rick), son Taylor; Tommy Mooney and daughter Shannon.
Mary was predeceased by her sisters Marilyn Tester and Hilda Daniels, Hilda’s husband Jake Daniels, and her step-son Ken Mooney.
Mary retired in 2000 from the Bank of Nova Scotia after 36 years of service in Toronto, Cambridge, and Kitchener. She always took great pride in her children and said they were her whole life. Mary also took great joy in the holidays, Christmas in particular; after the holidays, she always said how perfect that Christmas had been and how nice it was to have all of the children around.
