McClure, Mary Alice (nee Farrell) 1925 – 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful and loving mother Mary Alice McClure. Mary passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens in Chatham, Ontario on November 26th, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Douglas (1982), and loving mother of Dianne (Jim), Donald (Debbie), Mary Lou (John), Debbie (Paul) and Jane (Darryl). Dearly beloved grandmother of 11 grandchildren, and great grandmother of 8 precious great-grandchildren. Dearly missed by her sister Dorothy. She will be remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Chatham, Ontario to a family of 8 children, Mary moved to Toronto, Ottawa and settled in Burlington for many years before moving back to Chatham. Mom had a zest for life and a great sense of humour. She loved and provided strength to her family and had many treasured friendships. We all feel blessed to have had her in our lives. Love, laughter and music last forever. Thank you Mom. Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Monday December 3rd with visiting from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a light lunch. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Our thanks go out to the many friends and staff at The Grand and the loving and compassionate care staff at Riverview Gardens.
