Mary Gladys, 76 of Pictou Landing First Nation passed away November
15, 2018 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New
Glasgow.
Born in
Pictou Landing she was a daughter of the late William and
Annie(Syliboy)Bernard.
Mary was
a resident of Pictou Landing First Nation for the past 25 years having
previously resided in Truro. She was a member of Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Pictou Landing First
Nation.
She is
survived by her daughters: Cynthia, Dartmouth; Kelli Martin, Arizona;
3 grandchildren: Matthew Paul, Pictou Landing First Nation; Larissa
Paul and Latisha Paul both of Indian Brook; 3 great-grandchildren; a
brother Colin, Pictou Landing First Nation; sisters: Katherine
Helstowski, Wisconsin; Bernadette Bernard and Mary(Allan)Francis, both
of Pictou Landing First Nation; many nieces and nephews, godchildren:
Paul, Billy, Kyle and Gary.
She was
predeceased by a son Matthew Joseph Bernard, a sister
Yvonne”Eva”Bernard, brothers: Bernard, Frank and
Leonard.
Her
remains will at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church,
Pictou Landing First Nation after 3pm Monday from where a Mass of
Christian Burial will be held 11am Wednesday with Father Tom MacNeil
presiding. Burial will take place in the parish
cemetery.
