Passed away suddenly at Grand River Hospital on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the age of 93.
Predeceased by loving husband Roy (2004) of 61 years. Also predeceased by two sons Gerald (2015) and Raymond in infancy. Survived by daughter Marlene (late Blair) MacKenzie, daughter-in-law Monika Haehnel (Gerald), four grandchildren Tanya (Tim) Bolitsky, Jody MacKenzie, Matthew Haehnel and Laurie (Torstin) Ortmeyer, and three great-granchildren Shelby, Megan and Abby. Mary Ann was the last surviving member of 13 siblings born to Michael and Caroline Lauber. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and the Legion of Mary.
Mary Ann’s family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (519) 749-8467. A Memorial Service will be held in The Gathering Place at Trinity Village, 2727 Kingsway Drive, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Parkinson’s Society Southwestern ON or Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
