Martin “Marty” Frederick Haines
August 19, 1959 – April 3, 2018

The passing of Martin “Marty” Frederick Haines of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 19, 1959 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Frederick Haines and the late Juanita (Calhoun) Haines. Marty was the co-owner of Oakland Collision. He spent his winters snowmobiling with friends and summers on his motorbike. Marty was blessed to have such an incredible group of friends that supported and encouraged him throughout his battle with cancer.

In addition to his father, Marty is survived by his two sisters, Tawney Perri (Frank) of Brampton, ON and Stephanie Haines-Lacey (Mark) of Fredericton, NB; nephews, Jordan and Adam Perri, Willem and Miles Haines-Lacey. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Haines.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 7-9 pm. A Graveside Service will take place in Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
