With heavy hearts, the family of Mark Aloysius Breen announces his passing, which occurred on the evening of Sunday, April 29th 2018, at Bobby’s Hospice. Mark was born in Saint John; a son of the late Mark L. and Ada (Cormier) Breen, and the loving husband of the late M. Clara (Brideau) Breen.
Mark had a huge passion and respect for his work, having spent 50 years between Scofield Paper and Coates Distributors. Devoted to his faith, Mark was a member of the Cathedral and was apart of their church choir for many years, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #6595. Mark loved to spend time outdoors, canoeing and gardening, but more importantly cherished the times spent around the piano with his family surrounding him.
Mark is survived by his son Christopher (Paula) Breen and their children; Jillian and Thea.
He is also survived by his brother; Harold “Butch” and sisters; Helen Brideau (Thomas), Jean Osborne and Margaret Cross, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and Clara, Mark is predeceased by his brothers; Thomas, James, Joseph and Arthur, sisters; Vera, Christina, Theresa Rigby and Mary McGowan.
Mark will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation hours being held on Wednesday, May 2nd from 2-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 12:10 PM from the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception.
