Obituary of Marjory Brightman
Marjory Marie Brightman (Hirlehey), 77 of Windsor, NS, formerly of Ontario, passed away peacefully July 15, 2018 in the Hants Community Hospital. Born in Glencairn, ON, November 16, 1940. She was the daughter of the late William George “Allan” and Reta Laura (Lawson) Hirlehey.
She is survived by daughters Karen (Donald) Patton; Lois (Douglas) Hendry; Dianne (Brian) Duff; sons Glenn and Mark, all of Ontario; grandchildren Robyn (Chris) Marshall; Zabrina (Robert) Scott; Christopher; Matthew (Amanda) Hendry; Adam; Krystal; Andrea; Amber and Scott, all of Ontario; great-granddaughters Trinity, Charlie and Baby Girl Wagner; great-grandsons Ethan, Hayden, Hunter and Westley, all of Ontario; sisters Helen (Don); Patricia (Wayne) Hawton; Shirley Kyndenson; brothers Douglas (Valerie); Allan Jr., all of Ontario; sister-in-law Mary Hornsby; brother-in-law Herman Lamers; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marjory was predeceased by her first husband Sherman Rawn, and second husband Floyd Brightman; brother Gordon; sister Kathleen Lamers; son Steve and grandson Joseph.
A Graveside Service will be held on July 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Center Rawdon United Church Cemetery with Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating. There will be a reception to follow in the Gliders Room, Thomas St., Windsor. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Hants County Hospital Paliative Care Unit. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Wolfville Funeral Chapel, 568 Main Street, Wolfville, B4P 1E5 (902-542-4656).
