1930-2018
Marion Goguen, 88, formerly of Minto, NB, passed away peacefully on
Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018 at York Care Centre in Fredericton.
Born in Bronson, NB, she was the daughter of the late Camille and
Bella Arsenault.
Marion is survived by her three sons, John (Merle) of Malakwa, BC,
Allen (Judith) of Charters Settlement, NB and Paul (Rochelle) of
Riverview, NB; 8 grandchildren, Bonnie, Brian, Alan, Lisa, Andrew,
Joshua, Nicholas and Tyler; 5 great grandchildren, Brianna, Ashley,
Brett, Brad and Connor; and several great great grandchildren, nieces
and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
William in 2007; sisters, Florence Petrie and Irene Duke; an infant
sister, Yvonne; 5 brothers, Ted, Frank, Ben, Edmund and Butch.
Marion is the last surviving sibling of her immediate family. Marion
was first and foremost a homemaker, raising her 3 sons. Her favorite
hobbies were gardening, sewing and craft-making. She will always be
remembered for her wonderful cooking.
Resting at the Hogg Funeral & Cremation Services (327-3490) where
the family will receive visitors on Saturday, May 5th from 3:00-6:00
PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated 1:00 PM, Sunday, May 6th,
2018 at the Minto Community Chapel, Minto with Pastor Norm McDonald
officiating. Interment will follow in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery,
Hardwood Ridge, NB. For those who wish, donations can be made to the
York Care Centre Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Society would be
appreciated by the family.
