Baker, Marion (nee Lawrence)
Peacefully at home, with her daughters by her side, on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Donald S. Baker. Loving mother of Nancy Baker (Michelle) and JoAnn Fletcher (Jim). Much loved grandmother of Ryan Fletcher (Jennifer) and Nicole Amodeo (Skyler). Cherished great-grandmother of Zayden Amodeo, Thomas Fletcher and Ryland Amodeo. Loving sister to Andrew Lawrence (the late Wilma) and predeceased by her sister Enid McGuire (Jake). Survived by her brother-in-law Eric Baker (Ann). Predeceased by her sister-in-law Miriam Woodland (Art). Marion will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Marion was a long-time member of the Spencerville United Church. A special thank you to Dr. John Evans and the staff of Bayshore Nursing, for their wonderful care and compassion. Friends and family are invited to visit at the Spencerville United Church, 16 Centre Street, Spencerville on Friday, August 24th, 2018 from 12 pm to 2 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Sanctuary at 2 pm. Interment will follow at the Spencerville Union Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Don and Marion Baker Endowment Fund at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute for Heart Research or The Art Woodland Endowment Fund at the Ottawa Hospital for Cancer Research would be appreciated.
