In Loving Memory
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on December 22, 2018, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Bruce for 62 terrific years. Cherished mother of Nancy Carter, Kathie Gauthier (Pierre), Elaine Basa (Frank), and Alan. Loving grandmother of Patrick and Emily Carter, Kelly-Anne Lagzdins (Erik), Danielle and Michelle Gauthier, Aurelian and Maya Basa, and Samantha Dodd. Proud great-grandmother of Ellie. Dear sister of the late Robert and loving daughter of the late Gordon and Helen Kelly (née Davis).
Marion enjoyed a full and active life. An RN who practiced in Montreal, she travelled widely with her husband, was a long-time member of the UCW and Engineers’ Wives Association, and was active on numerous committees at Southminster United Church for many years. Marion was a gifted artist, with a particular love and talent for porcelain painting. She was an inspiration to many and will be missed by all who knew her. She kept her wonderful sense of humour almost to the end. Special thanks to Marion’s very own angel, Dr. Ruth Farey, who took such good care of her.
