Marion Blanche Swinimer
1938-2018
Marion Blanche (Myra) Swinimer, March 20, 1938 – February 11,
2018. Age 79, of Gold River, passed away peacefully at the Centennial
Building of the Victoria General Hospital on February 11, 2018,
surrounded by her family.
Marion is predeceased by her mother, Eva (Kaizer) Myra and father,
Carmon Myra; her beloved husband, Wesley Swinimer; sister, Mary Myra;
son-in-law, David Robichaud; daughter-in-law, Ferne Swinimer;
daughter-in-law, Amanda Swinimer; grand-daughter-in-law, Amanda
Melynk.
Marion’s life was dedicated to her family, a loving mother,
grandmother and great-grandmother. She will forever be missed by her
children, Kelvin, Karen Robichaud (Curtis); foster children, Leonard
and Bonita Knickle (and family). She was an exceptional Gram to Chad,
David, Kurt (Mariya) and great-grandchild, Jaxon. Marion was a caring
sister to Sonny (Maureen), Carmon (Ella), and Aubrey.
Marion has a large extended family who she loved dearly, caring and
worrying about everyone. Marion spent her life creating beautiful
crafts at home and in her craft shop before dedicating her life to
help raise her three grandchildren. Every morning started with a cup
of coffee and a handful of treats to the beloved cat, Smokey. Marion
loved animals and always had treats in the cupboard for any pet that
came for a visit. She welcomed all children into her home with open
arms, always looking for an opportunity to share her love to a new
member of the family or community. Marion was a strong woman, full of
wisdom and knowledge, faced challenges full force and put up a strong
fight. She will always be remembered as a small but mighty woman who
worried about everyone and always put others first.
The family would like to thank the team at the Victoria General
Hospital for their kindness, care and superior execution of
medicine.
Marion was loved and cherished by many and will be truly missed.
Happy memories of Marion will be shared by family and friends for many
years to come.
There will be a celebration of life at the Western Shore Legion,
Friday, February 16, 2018 at noon.
