Obituary of Marilyn Thomas
Thomas, Marilyn Dianne “Lynn” (née McTaggart) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn Thomas on January 6, 2018, at the age of 81. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jack, and her children Laura (Sarah), Jeffrey (Anna), Gregory (Ellen), Philip (Mary) and Katharine. She was a loving “GramLynn” to her grandchildren Hannah, Micah, Jacob, Emily, Jesper, Yannick and Pepin. She is also survived by her sisters Judy (Bill) McKee and Susan Jewel, and her brother Doug (Johanne) Dyer.
For many years Lynn worked for the Assessment Review Board, first as a clerk, later as a Member, adjudicating property assessment appeals. She served as an alderman of the Town of Lincoln and on the Lincoln Public Library Board. She was also active in the Kinette Club of Beamsville and was elected for a term as National Kinette Coordinator. She loved reading, gardening, cats, music, wiener roasts in the backyard and, most of all, her family. She is greatly missed.
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation Inc. will be gratefully accepted. Lynn’s family would like to thank her doctors, nurses and staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care.
