It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn Rombough on Sunday, December 2nd, 2018. Marilyn left us peacefully after a long and courageous struggle with complications from Lupus and Sjogren’s diseases. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Ken and Jean Fraser. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Gary of 37 years, daughter Jennifer and beloved granddaughter Jessica, her sisters Ayreon and Carol, brothers Donald and Kenneth. Marilyn was born in Vancouver and after graduating from Notre Dame High School she commenced a long and successful banking career with Bank of Montreal.
Marilyn had tremendous artistic skills which were manifested in her world class quilting. During the 1990’s her quilts received numerous awards and worldwide recognition were in demand for viewing in Germany, France, Japan and throughout North America. Marilyn shared her skills with the local Fraser Valley quilting community hosting numerous Saturday quilting seminars.
