Obituary of Marie Irwin
IRWIN, Marie (nee Brooks)
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marie on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the age of 84. She leaves behind her children Bruce (Lore), Brian (Annie), Barry (Lisa), Blair (Petro), Ann Marie ( Dave) and Lisa (Jan), 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by her caregivers and friends at Royal Rose Place in Welland.
Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow visitation at 12 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St., St. Catharines. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.
