It is with appreciation for a life well lived that the family of Maria Marie Hebert announces her passing that occurred on Thursday August 2, 2018 Tucker Hall, Shannex. Born 1924 in St. Marie du Kent, NB she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mathilda (LeBlanc) Roy and wife of the late Leo Hebert. Maria was employed with the DVA Hospital for many years in housekeeping. She was a long-time member of St. Peter’s Parish and had a passion for gardening.
She is survived by her son Gerard (Andrea) Hebert; daughters Theresa (Clifford) Breau, Rita (Eddy) Egglefield and Ida (James) Ackerson; brothers Jim (Carol), Yvon (Maria); sisters Louise (Leonard) Robichaud, Emma Richard, Florence Gallant; sisters-in-law Maria Roy and Adrienne Roy; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Omer, Norman and Frank; sisters Lea (Joseph) Bourgeous and Nelida (Alban) Melanson; brothers-in-law Len Richard and Jacques Gallant; sister-in-law Irene Roy
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. on Friday August 3, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Saturday August 4, 2018 at 10a.m. Interment will be held at a later date.
