Marguerite Jeanne d’Arc Pilon
Marguerite passed away on October 31, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Hull, Quebec on November 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Olivier Henri, former chief of police of Hull, Quebec, and the late Ida Marois. She lived in the Burlington, Ontario community for almost 50 years. During the last 4 years, Marguerite went to live in Markham to be near her daughter Diane. Marguerite loved to sing. She had been part of her church choir for over 40 years. She also excelled as a baker and she loved to knit and sew. Marguerite is predeceased by her husband Marcel (1996) and young son, Richard, who died in infancy, as well as her sisters Berthe (late Harry Donegani), Gertrude (late Sylvio Cousineau) and Cécile (late Lionel Lalonde) and her brothers Albert and Jean Paul (late Yolande Raymond). She is survived by sons Gilles, André and Guy; and her daughter Diane (Ray Lucignani) and their children: Lori (Chris Gennaro) and their daughters Claire, Abigail and Samantha; Peter (Julia Freedman) and their son Lucas; Michael; and Stefanie (Hayden Narine). She is also survived by her sister Denise (late Gaston Séguin), sister-in-law Noëlla Pilon (late Euclide Lefort), brothers-in-law Gaston Pilon (Madeleine Charbonneau) and Claude Pilon (Marcelle Quesnel) and sister-in-law Jocelyne Levesque (late Florent Pilon) and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 9 – 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens.
