1930-2018
With celebration of a life well lived, the family
of Marguerite Roberta Allaby (Fowler) announces her passing
which occurred on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Saint John Regional
Hospital. Born in Upham, NB, on March 31, 1930, she was the daughter
of the late Job and Jennie (Barnes) Fowler.
Marguerite is survived by her loving children: Philip Allaby of
Hampton, NB, and Sue Ellen Allaby of Willow Grove, NB; step daughter,
Mavis Drummond of Rothesay, NB; grandchildren: Shawna and Westra
Allaby; seven step grandchildren; ten step great grandchildren;
brother Delbert Fowler and his wife Shirley of Moncton, NB; step
son-in-law, Peter Cavanagh of Calgary, AB; in-laws: Barbara Fowler of
Upham, NB, Ernest Allaby and his wife Kathryn of Fredericton, NB, and
Emma Hamlyn of England; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides
her parents, Marguerite was predeceased by her husband Sterling
“Tim” Allaby; infant daughter Mary and infant son Herritt;
step daughter Marie Cavanagh; and brothers: Lloyd, Marshall, James and
Donald Fowler.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home
(506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will
be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8PM. The
funeral service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 2:00PM from
St. Peter’s Anglican Church. A private family interment will
take place at St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery in the
spring.
Donations in memory of Marguerite may be made to the
memorial of the donor’s choice. Personal
