It is with sadness the family of Margaret Flaathen announce her passing on January 1, 2018, at the age of 65 years. Margaret as born in Lac La Biche, Alberta on August 6, 1952.
She is survived by her common-law husband Gord Kennedy; her former spouse Robert Flaathen; children: Roxanne Flaathen (Ken LaForce – predeceased), Tammy Flaathen (Patrick Tipper) and Charmaine Flaathen (Dustin Sinclair); stepchildren: Bryan Kennedy and Aaron Kennedy; seven grandchildren; siblings: Ed Smith, Laura Hrehorets (Wayne), Lorna Smith and Darrell Smith.
Predeceased by her Mom, Louise Smith of Two Hills, stepdad Allen Smith of Two Hills, her father Clarence Federick of Lac La Biche, sisters: Marlene Smith and Arlene Smith of Two Hills and her brother Elliot Smith of Two Hills, as well as numerous nieces nephews and friends.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Serenity Funeral Service North Chapel, 10129 – Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton. Following the service we will be having snacks and a cash bar at Norwood Legion, 11150 – 82 Street, Edmonton, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
