Lovingly known as Marg, Margaret and Grandma Marg, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Zimmer, late of Weyburn, SK, on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the age of 84 years.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents: Lawrence and Annie Adacsi; siblings: Helen Paslawski, Edward Adacsi, and Joeseph Adacsi; brother-in-law Paul Paslawski;sister-in-law Diane Adacsi.
Margaret is survived by her children: Darvin (Dawn) Zimmer, Yolanda (Kim) Spencer; 4 grandchildren: Colby Zimmer, Tyler Spencer, Brett Spencer and only granddaughter Krista (Justin) Aimes; sister Liz (George) Francis; sister-in-law Dorothy Adacsi; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Born in 1934, Margaret was raised on the family farm, attending school at Schnieder School and then East Weyburn. She went on to graduate Barber school . At age 50 she made the decision to complete her high school and attained her GED.
Margaret was well known for her high achievement in trap shooting. She won many trophies across the province including the woman’s provincial champion.
Margaret had an easy way of bonding with children and animals. When they met her once, they loved her forever.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. from Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK. Active Pallbearers are: Colby Zimmer, Brett Spencer, Daryl Paslawski, Marty Adacsi, Cary Adacsi and Clayton Chapell. Luncheon will follow at the Ramada Hotel, Weyburn, SK.
