Margaret Edna Melnichuk (Lavigne)
Margaret died peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Sunday, December 16, 2018 in her 81st year. Beloved mother of Dawn Young (Les) of The Blue Mountains and Lynn Chin (Michael) of Mississauga. Proud grandmother of Samantha Chin. Margaret is survived by her two sisters, Marion Lavigne, NWT and Susan Lavigne (Jim), Meaford. Daughter of the late Elmer and Veronica Lavigne of Midland. She was predeceased by her husband, David Melnichuk, in 2003. Margaret was a skilled bridge player who loved to spend her winter months in Florida.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society.
Visitation will be at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 11 a.m. -12:30 pm. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at St John Chrysostome Church, 432 Ontario Street, Newmarket. Please join the family for a reception following the service, at the Parish Hall.
