Marcel van der Putten 19642018

Marcel van der Putten
1964-2018
vander PUTTEN, Marcel
– July 15, 1964 – February 14, 2018. Marcel died
at home on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. He is survived by his mother,
Minke vander Putten; his five siblings of which he was the youngest;
his daughter, Niomi and his dog, Monk.
Marcel was a tall man with curly golden locks and sparkly
blue eyes. Coming into Marcel’s home it was apparent that he
had been in interesting places and that he had an eye for the unique.
His greatest passion was sailing. He loved the water and he loved the
feeling of freedom that came from sailing with the winds of nature.
Movement of mind and movement of body were important to him. He
appreciated new ideas and innovative thinking and he enjoyed exploring
new environments and meeting new opportunities and challenges. Marcel
had a green thumb and he loved the alchemy of bringing plants to their
full potential.
Marcel worked hard and played hard. We will miss him and are
thankful that he is free from the suffering of his illness. Cremation
has taken place. Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock
Funeral Home, Guysborough. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the
family at www.haverstocks.com
