Malcolm (Mac) Harris
1947-2018
It is with great sadness the family of Malcolm (Mac) Harris
announces his unexpected passing on October 28, 2018 at his home in
Cambridge Narrows, NB. Born in Woodstock, Mac was the son of Hazel
(Good) and Chester Harris. Mac is survived by his devoted wife
Marilyn, his sister Maxine Greer (the late Billy Greer) mother in law
Angela MacNeill, brother in law Gary MacNeill (Debbie), sister in law
Debbie Cooke (the late Barry Cooke), sister in law Cathy MacNeill
(Norm Hudson) many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Mac was predeceased by his brother Gerald
Harris and wife Betty, brother, Norman Harris and wife Cathy, his
sister Doreen Farrell and husband Arnold and brother in law Kevin
MacNeill.
Mac was employed for many years by Environment Canada as a
Meteorological Technician and was stationed at several locations
throughout Canada. Mac gave the last live weather report to be sent
from the Saint John Airport.
Since his retirement Mac has spent his time at their
beautiful home on the lake, hunting, fishing and enjoying the
outdoors. Mac was an avid Ham radio operator and is now a
“silent key”, VE1CKK.
Resting at The Carleton Funeral Home &
Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville, NB
with visiting on Saturday, November 3rd at 1 PM. The funeral service
will follow at 2 PM.
Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation,
the Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
