Mackenzie “King” Ronald Speicher
Died peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, September 10th, 2018. King was born in Bracebridge on January 13th, 1930 to John and Edna (Crockford) Speicher and had one sister Joyce.
King was raised in Purbrook, ON where he met the love of his life “the Warden”, Beth Ball from Milford Bay. He joined the Ontario Provincial Police and served in numerous communities throughout the province, finally retiring as a Superintendent and returning home to Bracebridge. King is survived by his wife Beth of 67 years and his children Leigh (Rob), Kevin (Donna), and Shawn (Kevin) Lillie. He was a cherished grandfather to Thomas (Kate), Korey (Cindy), Edward (Meg), Aaron, Reed, Zachary, Troy, and Caitlin (Kevin), great-grandfather to Connor.
King was a true naturalist, an avid gardener/birder, and a kind and honest man. He will be sadly missed. If desired, memorial contributions to Muskoka Field Naturalists or Muskoka Heritage Foundation greatly appreciated.
Friends may join the family on Thursday, September 13, from 10:00-11:00am at Reynolds Funeral Home, Bracebridge. A Masonic service will be held in the chapel at 11:00am followed by a memorial service. Reception to follow at 126 John St., Bracebridge.
