Lydia Flora McAuley (nee McKenzie)
Lydia Flora McAuley (nee McKenzie) was born on Friday, February 20, 1920 in Brabant Lake, SK and passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Duck Lake, SK at the age of 97 years. Lydia is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Sara Coles; her grandson, Aaron Brown; and her great-grandsons, Kyle, Justin and Brandon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-, great-great-, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews, and many friends; and her special pets, Ocean and Shiloh. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley McAuley; her parents, Zacharius and Polly McKenzie; her brothers, Samson Roberts, Thomas (Maggie) McKenzie, George Custer and Stanley Bear; her sisters, Martha (Sidley “My Chum”) Clarke, Sally (George) Roberts, Elizabeth (Charles) Charles, Elizabeth McKenzie, Della McLeod, Annie McKenzie and Maggie Keighley; her special great-niece, Sheila Kim McLeod; her special friends, Mary Venne, Flora Roberts and Jeannie Clarke; and her special pets, Chance and Shadow. Wake services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Kitsaki Hall in La Ronge, SK and continued on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Stanley Mission, SK. Lydia’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Stanley Mission, SK, Reverend Wayne Olson and Reverend Richard Custer officiating. Interment to follow at Stanley Mission Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Lac La Ronge Funeral Home in La Ronge, SK, 306-425-3666, Debra Klassen, Funeral Director, and River Park Funeral Home in Prince Albert, SK, 306-764-2727, Don Moriarty, Funeral Director.
