Lyda Leona Emery
1924-2018
At the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB on December 7, 2018, Lyda
Leona (Corscadden) Emery, wife of the late Addison W. Emery formerly
of St. George NB. Born in Maces Bay NB on December 9, 1924, she was a
daughter of the late John and Beulah (Belding) Corscadden. A loving
sister, aunt and friend, Lyda is survived by one brother: Ray
(Shirley) Corscadden of Maces Bay NB; sister in law: Carol Anderson of
St. Stephen NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to
her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons: David and
Danny; brothers: Harley, Marvin, Alvin and Audley; and by two sisters:
Elsie Hatt and Mona McCormick.
Prior to retirement Lyda spent many years working in retail and was a
well known employee with Steadman’s in St. George. She was a Past
Matron of the OES Granite Chapter #13 in St. George and a long time
member of the Presbyterian Kirk in St. George.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. A graveside service will be held at the
St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring with the date and time being
announced in the spring. In Lyda’s memory, donations to a charity of
the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
