It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lucy Adelia Patey announce her passing on Friday, Dec 28, 2018 at the age of 96 years. Lucy passed away at her family residence surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Alonzo (Hepsey), Peter (Rita), Joanna who resided with her, Seymour (Elaine), Levi (Kay), Harrison (Sherry), Phyllis (Dean) Sheppard, Lillian (Cecil) Lavers and Valerie (Randy) Chapella. She also leaves to mourn: 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren; Sisters-in law: Mary Samson and Shirley Patey; as well a large number of nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends. Lucy was predeceased by her husband Isaac Earle Patey; her sons: Earle and Leoma and two great grandchildren: Stephanie and William; Parents: John Henry and Dorcas Samson; Brothers: Rueben, Frances and James. Special thanks to her homecare worker Ruth who cared for her with the most loving care that she could have received. Family and friends may visit at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in River of Ponds. Reverend Canon Terry Rose will be officiating the Funeral Service which will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11:00 AM with internment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, River of Ponds.
