Obituary of Louis Payou
Louis Lawrence Payou, son of the late Simon and Hermine Payou, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in Dawson Creek, B.C. at the age of 76 years.
Louis, also known as Lorne, was born in Valleyview, Alberta on November 17, 1941. Lorne would later move to Fort Nelson, B.C. with his parents and many siblings. This is where he met the mother of his children, Shirley Shultz, and settled down.
Lorne started working on the oil rigs. He was a truck driver for many years, working up to the age of 72.  His passion was driving, when he was on the road, that was his home.
Lorne was a fun-loving person, a prankster and he loved to make other people laugh, sometimes at his own expense.
Louis is survived by four daughters; Tamatha Rabideau of Toronto, Ontario, Melinda Henderson of Bodmin, UK, Kimberly Mellegers of Frankford, Ontario, and Sharlene Scriven of Edmonton, Alberta, two brothers Eddie Payou of Fort St John, B.C., and Paul Payou of Fort Liard, Northwest Territories, along with ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Lorne is at peace, very much loved by all his daughters, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private funeral will be held at a later date.
Very Respectfully Reynars Funeral Home and Crematorium
