Louise “Sarah” Loretta Duncan
will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished
grandmother and great-grandmother. There was great sadness amongst her
family and friends with news of her passing on Saturday, October 20,
2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Her family
surrounded her with their presence and love as she valiantly finished
her life’s journey.
She was a devoted wife to the late
Aldon Douglas Duncan and loving mother to Linda Goss (Mike Wall),
Susan Bosence (John), Douglas Duncan (Cindy) and Donald Duncan
(Janet), a cherished “Nanny” to her 8 grandchildren, Erin
Fullerton (John), Lindsay Shanks (Benjie), Eric Goss (Kathleen),
Stephen Goss (Laura), Collin Duncan, Ryan Duncan (Carla), Kristopher
Hamilton (Erin), John Luke Bosence and her 15 great-grandchildren.
Life began for Louise on August 5, 1934 at Doaktown, NB and she was a
daughter of the late Nelson and Ruby (Murphy) Chute. She also leaves
behind sisters Priscilla Donnelly and Gloria Dickson (Stafford Nason),
a brother Jimmy Miner, sisters-in-law Janet Duncan, Ella Duncan and
Barb Duncan, a brother-in-law Robert Duncan and many much-loved
nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Louise was
an amazing homemaker who did everything around the house. Her family
was always her top priority and everything in her life centered around
those she loved. She was an amazing cook as her family and friends can
attest to. She has left a legacy of love and beautiful memories to
cherish a
lifetime.
It
was the expressed wish of Louise that there be no visitation hours. An
opportunity to express condolences and comfort the family will take
place at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Parish Hall, 2385
Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 11:00
AM to 1:00 PM. Following the gathering at the Parish Hall, family and
friends are asked to gather at the Acton Cemetery for a graveside
committal service at 2:00 PM. Rev. Canon Dr. Ross Hebb will
officiate.
Special thanks to Rev. Ross Hebb for
his comfort and daily prayers, also to Dr. Jeff Barton and the Doctors
and Nurses of 3East Palliative Care.
No
Flowers Please. For those who choose to remember Louise by way of a
charitable donation, the family have suggested the Canadian Cancer
Society, The Canadian Diabetes Association or a favorite Charity of
your choice. Bishop’s Funeral Home (458-1885) have been
entrusted with the funeral
arrangements.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Louise Sarah L Duncan 19342018..
