1953-2018
Louise Joyce Corbin – age 64, of Kentville, passed away
suddenly on Friday, September 28, 2018, at the James Paton Memorial
Hospital in Gander, Newfoundland. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick,
she was a daughter of the late Bessie Storr. She had been employed
with Eden Valley Poultry for over 39 years, was a member of Unifor
Local No. 2216 and a strong union activist. She enjoyed kayaking,
gardening, woodworking and crocheting. She will be sadly missed by all
who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Douglas
“Doug”; two daughters, Shelley (Steve) Barrieau,
Wilmot and Lyndsay “Loo” Corbin, Sylvan Lake,
Alberta; two sons, Dallas Corbin, Centreville and Jamie (Melissa)
Norman, Kentville; a sister, Rose (Jeff) Galbraith, Grand Bay, New
Brunswick; three brothers, Victor (Judy) Leaman, Quispamsis; Gregory
Leaman and Raymond Leaman, both of Saint John; five grandchildren,
Kyle, Wilhem, Aiyana, Kaiden and Leanna; nieces and nephews. In
addition to her mother, she was predeceased by two brothers, Gilbert
and Richard. Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, October
7, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral
service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018. A
reception will follow in the Meadowview Community Centre. Donations in
memory may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
