Lorne Ronald Ask
Lorne Ronald Ask, resident of DeBolt and Goodwin, AB, formerly of Clairmont, AB, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Points West Hospice in Grande Prairie, at the age of 81 years.
Lorne was born in Turtle Lake, SK, on July 11, 1936. He came to Grande Prairie in 1954 where he worked first at the plywood plant for 2 years, then logging before finally falling into construction for many years until he retired.
He loved bluegrass music, watching hockey, camping, fishing, cutting wood in the bush, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years Anne Ask; children: Brent Lorne (Cory) Ask, and Greg Michael (Sherri) Ask; grandchildren: Jacey Ask, Alexander Ask, Kade Ask, and Aubree Ask; sisters Allice Francis and Ella Ellis; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his father Dolfel; mother Julia; brothers: Vernon, Orval, Mervin, Willis, Allan, and Lowell; and sisters: Viola, Ruth and Angeline.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 2:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.
Memorial donations may be made to Grande Prairie Hospice Palliative Care Society (Box 21215, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 6W7).
