Obituary of Lois Meades
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Monday morning, October 1st, 2018. Lois Marguerite Meades (nee Wardell), of Owen Sound, at the age of 95 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Jerry Meades (2009). Loving mother of Stephen Meades and his wife, Brenda, of Owen Sound, Mary Pickering and her husband, Paul, of East Linton and Margaret O’Connor, of Grimsby. Proud grandmother of Heather Whittemore (Andy), Alison Blackwell (James), Darren Pickering, Amy Sinden (Jason), Carolyn O’Connor (Fraser Jackson), Robbie O’Connor and great-grandmother of Katie, Paige, Joshua, Coulson and Caydem. Dear sister of Josephine Sheppard, of Paris. Lois will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and her canine friends, Dutchie and Willow. The family would like to extend a special thankyou to John Landen and his staff at Central Place for all the excellent care that our mom received while she was a resident there. Also, a big thankyou to Dr. Cam Tweedie and the staff on 6-1 of the GBHS for taking great care of Mom while she was a patient there. Predeceased by her parents, William and Gladys Wardell; her sister, Phyllis Nairn (Donald); her brother-in-law, Doug Sheppard.
A Private Graveside Service for Lois Meades has been held. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Owen Sound Animal Shelter as your expression of sympathy and may be made through the BRIAN E.
