1924-2018
The death of Lois Maxine Broad of Maplehurst occurred on Wednesday,
November 21, 2018 at the River View Manor, Bath. Born September 17,
1924 in Presque Isle, Maine she was the daughter of the late Lewina
Kinney. Lois is also predeceased by her adoptive parents, Manzer and
Pheobe Acton; 5 children, Maxine Clark, Ervon Broad, Winston Broad,
Melvin Broad and Shirley Mowbray (Allan); granddaughter, Tracey
Mowbray; great granddaughter, Katie McCullough; 4 brothers, Winston
Clark, Wavel Kinney, Granville Kinney and Graydon Broad; half sister,
Mary MacDougall and half brother, Dean MacDougall.
Lois is survived by her 7 children, Sheila Hargrove (Cecil), Sharon
Reeleder (Irwin), Douglas Broad, Donald Broad (Cheryl), Reginald Broad
(Lynn), Glen Broad (Tammy) and Cora Broad; 34 grandchildren; 38 great
grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 1 sister, Viona DeMerchant
as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from
4-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at
2:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Dwayne Broad will
officiate. The interment will be in the Wharton Cemetery at a later
date. Donations made to a Living Memorial in memory of Lois would be
appreciated.
