Peacefully, at Telfer Place, Paris, on Monday October 15, 2018 at the age of 88 years.
Beloved husband for 66 years to Beth (nee Metcalfe); loved father to Steve Woods (Yvonne). Cherished grandfather to Marlys Burt (Wes), Tegan Peters (Mike) and Kelsey Woods; great-grandfather to Kiah and Derek. Predeceased by his parents, David and Ella Woods (nee Riley)
Lloyd was a technician in the computing industry working at IBM from 1956 until his retirement in 1985. As well as his love for his family he was an avid lawn bowler and grounds keeper and author on greens building and maintenance, inducted into the Leaside Sports Hall of Fame, inaugural inductee in the Ontario Lawn Bowling Association Hall of Fame as a builder of greens, volunteer and member of Knox United Church, Ayr.
Cremation has taken place.
Friends may call at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 183 Northumberland St. Ayr on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 1-2 p.m followed by a service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. A time of reception and fellowship to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
