March 31, 1949 – April 27, 2018

Haines, Linden Ernest – Age 69 formerly of Freeport, Digby and Lequille passed away, April 27, 2018 in Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Freeport, Digby, NS, he was a son of the late Hugh and Olga (Betts) Haines. Linden left grade six and went fishing until 2000, when he sold his boat and licence (Linden’s Pride). He was a member of the Freeport and Annapolis Royal Legions. Linden enjoyed the great outdoors, sport fishing, camping and old country music. He will be sadly missed by his companion, Dale Titus, Digby; daughter, Lisa (Michael Fleet), Meadowvale, NS; son, Darren (Donna Neville), Greenwood, NS and their mother Judy (David) Teed, Digby; sisters, Jeanette (Maurice”Buck”) Whynder, Gibson Woods Road, Kings Co; Dale Tibert, Alberta; brother, Gary Haines (Laurel), Kentville, NS; grandchildren Benjamin Haines, Travis Fleet, Brandon Fleet; best friend, Jason of 14 years, who was like a son to Linden. Besides his parents, Linden was predeceased by his step-mother, Helen. The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin McGuire and all the staff of Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton for all their care and compassion shown to our Dad. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448 with Craig Glavin officiating.
