Obituary of Lillian Vanclief (Zimmerling Pasch)
It is with great sadness that the family of Lillian (Zimmerling) Vanclief announce her sudden passing on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Beloved wife of Tom Vanclief. Lillian was predeceased by her first husband Clarence Pasch. She is survived by her siblings Wilfred, Beulah (late Maurice Grife) and Ronnie (Rosemary). Loving aunt of Debbie (Sandy Hanson), Tania (James Cull) and Shelley (Emile Tavares). Great-aunt of Jonathan, Amanda, Harrison, Emily and Morrison and stepmother of Susan, Katherine (Chris) and David.
Lillian was born in Otter Lake, Quebec on April 13, 1937. She was the second child and oldest daughter for Annie (Schroeder) and Alfred Zimmerling. Lillian made her home in Ladysmith and had many friends and interests. She was an avid sportswoman in her day, was very involved in her community, and wrote the Ladysmith column each week for The Equity.
Friends and family may pay their respects at Hayes Funeral Home,134 Centre St., Shawville, QC on Monday, August 27th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ladysmith, QC at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow. Donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ladysmith or Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
