OBITUARY
Lillian G. Varbeff
July 13, 1926 – March 23, 2018
VARBEFF, (McBride) Lillian Gladys – 91, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully March 23, 2018 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born July 13, 1926 to the late Thomas and Euphemia (Barry) McBride and was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. Lillian was a kind and thoughtful person to all. She always had a smile and never a nasty word was said. She worked many years at Jacobson’s on Portland Street and Mic Mac Mall. When they closed she worked as a cashier in the cafeteria at B.I.O. She then retired and upon her retirement she enjoyed being active with the Oakwood Terrace Auxiliary, I.O.D.E. Fairfield Chapter, Trefoil Guild and her Wednesday morning bowling team. When at home she spent many hours knitting. Lillian is survived by her daughter; Mary (Robert) Daigle, sons; Billy (Elsie) and Harold (Mona), grandchildren; Kelly (Tony Clarke), Lindsay, James, Anne Boutilier and Evan, great grandchildren; Jeremy and Olivia. She was predeceased by her loving Husband; Boris “Buster”, sister; Helen, brothers; Frank Sr., John, Harold and son; Donnie. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 27, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, March 28, at 11am both in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only please. Donations can be made to the Dartmouth General foundation or a charity of choice. Special thank you to the E. R.
