Lillian Beatrice May Beebe passed away peacefully in the early hours on Thursday, January 4, 2018, with her family by her bedside.

Lillian was born April 23, 1917 on the family homestead in the Lakenheath district of southern Saskatchewan. On her 100th birthday, a small gathering of family, friends, and staff was held at the Mount Royal Care Centre.

Lillian leaves behind her children Karen Harbourne, Alvin (Marilyn) Beebe, Ruth (Alan) Nixon, Harold (Terry) Beebe, and Verna (Lorne) Lien; grandchildren Steven, Brent (Linda), Kimberley, Jay (Anita), Lance, Brad (Tanis), and Pam; great-grandchildren Jonathon, Tyrel, Jason, Evan, Tanner, Tatum, Kayla, Connor, Dillon, Samuel, and Sydni; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lillian was predeceased by both her husbands, Wiley and Samuel (aka Eddie); her parents Charles and Catherine Colwell; sisters Pearl, Margaret, and Irene; and son-in-law Robert Harbourne.

At Lillian’s request, there will be no service. She will rest in peace at Central Grove Cemetery in Dixonville, Alberta.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the wonderful and devoted staff of the Mount Royal Care Centre, for the loving care and attention they have given to Lillian over the past six plus years.
