Mr. Larry Maillet
Maillet, Alfred William Lawrence (Larry) of Chatham passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Monday March 5th, 2018 at the age of 76 years. Born in Claire Fontaine, New Brunswick, son of Irene (Kelly) Maillet and the late Alfred Maillet (2004). Beloved husband of Bette (Kacer) Maillet for 55 years. Loving father of Michael (Marcia) Maillet and the late Daniel Maillet (2016). Dear grandfather of Adam, Cassidy and Eric Maillet. Surviving are his brothers Gerald (Sandi) Maillet, Richard Maillet, and Roy Maillet, and his sister Fran Brooks. Also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and brother and sisters-in-law. He is predeceased by his brothers Robert Maillet (2014) and John Maillet (1977), and his two brothers-in-law. Larry was a banker for 14 years and worked in many cities in Ontario. He moved back to Chatham in 1975 and owned 3 variety stores. Later he worked part-time for Pioneer Hi-Bred before retiring. Cremation has taken place and a family gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. On-line condolences may be left at www.alexanderfuneralhome.ca
