Laing Marshall James – 2018

Mr. Marshall James Laing of Mississauga, ON passed away peacefully at Ian Anderson Hospice January 7, 2018 at the age of 67 after a short yet brave battle with cancer.
Marshall was born to parents Earl and Dorothy Laing on May 26, 1950 in Toronto, ON. He grew up in Barrie, ON, the eldest of 4. He enjoyed helping his grandparents at their cabin resort in Bala, ON from a young child until his late teens. He attended University of Western Ontario. He married Linda Cockram September 7, 1974 in Huntsville, ON.
Marshall is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Allison Kirk (Rob), his sister Karen Reansbury and brothers Greg (Dyanne) and Scott (Masayo) and remembered by his cousins, nieces, great nieces & nephews and great great nephew.
He is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Dorothy Laing and brother in law Peter Reansbury.
Marshall enjoyed attending sports, drawing, travelling and reading.
The family would like to thank the Oncology Team , Palliative Care Team of Credit Valley Hospital and CCAC for their care and support during this time of need.
The family wants to thank the staff and volunteers of Ian Anderson Hospice for the dignified, compassionate and loving care given to Marshall.
A Celebration of Life will be taking place on Sunday January 14th from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery Chapel (737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga) in the Oak Room. All are welcome to join us.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ian Anderson Hospice, Oakville would be greatly appreciated.
