It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Jean Bolton Kinney on January 26, 2018 in Duncan, BC. She is survived by husband Charles, son Jonathan and daughter-in-law Tracey.
Born in East Kilbride, Scotland on September 26, 1925 she lived in Stonehouse for more than 40 years. Jean worked at the Bank of Scotland from the age of 15 and her penchant for numbers kept her there until the call of Canada brought her to New Westminster, BC in 1966. While working at Westminster Credit Union, she met Charles. They married in 1967 and Jonathan was born in 1968. She and the family moved to Vancouver Island in 1970 living in Chemainus and then finally settling, for good, in Duncan.
Jean also had a passion for tennis, golf and travel. Her competitive spirit was always apparent in everything she did. And her love of family will always be treasured.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Cowichan District Hospital, Sunridge Place in Duncan and the Lodge on 4th in Ladysmith.
A celebration of life will be held at: St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Duncan Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1pm
In lieu of flowers, donations greatly appreciated to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Kinney Jean September 26 1925
