It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Kimberley Jane (Alie) Steward which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Monday, December 3rd, 2018. Born 1960, in Montreal, QC, she is the daughter of Jean and Marilyn (Moore) Hill. Kimberley was an Administrative Assistant for the Saint John Fire Department for 24 years. She enjoyed bicycling, reading, shopping and having sleepovers with her daughter. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy.
Kimberley is survived by her loving and devoted husband Matt Steward of 38 years; son Scott Steward (Erica) of Saint John; daughter Terri Beyea (John Ross) of Saint John; brothers Mark Hill of Rothesay, Steve Hill (Judi) of Rothesay, Serge Alie (Michele) of Montreal; sisters Joanne London of Quispamsis, Davina Hill of Cornwall, ON, Christiane Alie of Montreal, Jasmine Alie of Montreal; mother and father-in-law Louise and Ken Steward of Quispamsis; brother-in-law Mark Steward (Susan) of Hampton; grandchildren Jaeda, Jake, Jaclyn, Jones, Lexi and Lucas; as well several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Kimberley was predeceased by her stepfather David Hill.
A special thank you to the Saint John Fire Department and City of Saint John for their kindness and support. To the nurses, staff and volunteers at Bobby’s Hospice for their kind and loving care. Many thanks to friends, coworkers and neighbors for your generosity and compassion.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A Memorial Service will take place from Mission Point Church (130 Mark Drive) on Thursday, December 6th at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Kimberley may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
