Kevin Bruce Lane
1963-2018
It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Kevin Bruce Lane, age 54, of
Tyndal Road. Kevin passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018
with his loving wife and family by his side.
Born in Melrose, NB, he was a son of
Irene (Niles) Lane and the late Albert Lane.
Kevin worked for C.N.R. for over 35
years as Track Maintenance Foreman. He loved the outdoors,
and enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, snow shoeing and helping his son
trap. He was a rock for his family, a best friend to his
wife Shawna, and a loving father and grandfather.
In addition to his mother Irene (Walter
Briggs) of Melrose, he will be sadly missed by his wife Shawna
(Ibbitson), Tyndal Road; children Austin (Kesha Harrison), Athol and
Brittany (Cody Harnish), Fox Point, NS; a very special granddaughter
Annabella Lane; siblings Sharon (Vernon) Wall, Melrose, Darlene
(Terry) Russell, Moncton, and Donald Cormier (Cecile Blackmore),
Moncton; as well as several nieces, nephews and close
friends.
He was predeceased by his father,
brother Merton; nephews Terry and Donald Cormier and James Albert
Wall; great nephew James Donald Lawrence Wall.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst,
NS, where visiting hours will take place on
Thursday from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held on
Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11 am. Burial will take place in
the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery in the spring.
Those wishing to make a donation in
Kevin’s name may do so to the Cancer Society or the charity of your
choice.
