Obituary for
Kenneth “Ken” McDougall
We regret to announce the death of Kenneth McDougall on June 3, 2018 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 89 years. In his spare time, Ken enjoyed gardening and walking. Over the years, he was very active in the community: Ken was a founding Grand Knight of council #8430, treasurer for the Kapuskasing Minor Hockey Association, chairperson of St. Patrick’s Parish Council, executive member of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, board member of Northland Savings and Credit Union, chairperson for the North Cochrane District Home for the Aged, and was a volunteer for Hey Day, the Canadian Cancer Society and the Arthritis Society.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 66 years, Rose; his children: Kevin (Julie) of St. Cloud, MN, Terrence of Keswick and Colleen Preisner (Robert) of Milton; four grandchildren: Emily, Cody, Katie and Benjamin; two great-grandchildren; Hazel and Ian; and by one sister, Catherine Clifford of Wawa. He was predeceased by his siblings: Gerard, Cameron, Robert, Patrick, Daniel, Gordon, Harry, Madeleine Preston and Thelma Champoux,
Ken will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 11th at 2:00 p.m. at St Patrick’s Church with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Interment of ashes will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. ©
